zombiekids(wip)

Started drawing this one after watching the movie "trick 'n treat", very funny movie with some cool illustrations by Fiona Staples. It was just for fun with no furter purpose, but I'll have to finish it. By the way, very ironic... zombies in zombie costumes.

This one is based on Godfrey Reggio's movie "Koyaanisqatsi" (first one). It's a silent movie, one of those who make you think about it all. I leave the explanation to you, you'll understand your words better than mine.
All done with charcoal and bistre on A1 format.

Masterpiece

Came on this by accident, removed all my layers (PS) exept my transparent guidelines, it gives a funny effect that I will study later when time allows me to. If you look too long a big part of your brains gets fried.

When I woke up this morning and revieuwed the previous creature I found that the head looked a little bit ridiculous. So here another try out, much better in my opinion. Now it looks more like a vulture/dinosaur/zombielike thing but yeah I could imagine something worse.

Ursavus Lupus

My first attempt on a creature design. After I watched the documentary "masters of horror" a flow of inspiration came over me and I started to draw. I was mainly inspired by the works of Rick Backer (an Amerikan werewolf in London), that's maby why this thing looks more like some kind of wolf. 

Just a box of snow....

An assignment on school; draw a box no matter the medium. Just make it original.
I placed it in an icy landscape and enlarged it as if it was a huge shelter for (homeless?)people but in these snowy landscapes you're never alone nore safe.
I think I'm going to make a series of these ...we'll see.

lines in the sky

Today I paid a vistit to the MIAT, it's a museeum for textile. It was interesting but my eyes were more interested in the skyline of Ghent. As I've never liked to draw architecture (because I can't) I just gave it a shot. Gent is a lust for the eye with many fascinating old (and new of course, duh) buildings. To be honest I actually liked to draw this one, even if it isn't my best shot and I will try to make more of these.

Once upon a time in Brussels....

Last week I paid a visit to some friends in Brussels and visited the museum of fine arts. Just like every draughtsman I took my sketchbook at hand to capture some moments. Due to a bad scanner I cant give you the real appearance of the images but altered them with photoshop and to be honest I think the outcome is "ça va".

mother nature's most ugly ones

This is the back of the Moker dvd, the image had to be a compilation of demons.
I wanted to make the demons in a original way inspiring myself on the deep sea creatures.
Looking at the amazing photos of national geographic and my own imagination
I ended up on a bunch of beasts I don't even want to meet in my worst nightmares.

Blessed angel

They asked me to make the front and back of their dvd "The blessing"
The front had to contain a female angel with some kind of "erotic" touch.
I've drawn her with a pencil and blocked the colours with photoshop.`
I've enjoyed doing this one ;) .

Mainly graphite, the colours were blocked in using a wacom and photoshop.
I'm happy with the outcome but I'll have to do better in the future (next time).
